How to film on a smartphone
We can teach you and your team how to create high quality content on your phone.
Our 1 day course is suitable for up to 12 people.
By the end of this course, your teams will be able to:
Confidently film a range of well- composed shots
Record great interviews
Capture good sound
Apply foundation storytelling and editing skills
Understand how to store and share your content
The course can be held at your base or ours and will be tailored to your team’s experience and confidence.

StoryTeam mentoring programme
An on going training programme with technical skills sessions complemented by 1-2-1 mentoring support.
The programme is for up to 5 people and runs for 3 - 6 months.
It starts with two workshops - a discovery workshop to identify your stories, and a skills workshop to establish existing skills sets.
Then each month we have:
Half day skills training
A commissioning meeting supported by an OCM editor
Weekly 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with an OCM editor
The content you gather is professionally edited by an OCM editor and sent to you for distribution on your channels

Media training
Our media training will increase delegate’s confidence in doing media interviews whatever their previous experience.
The scenario based course will help delegates prepare for and deliver interviews for a range of media outlets including newspapers, TV, social media, and radio.
The session will cover:
What reporters want from an interview
How you can best prepare
What to expect on the day
Nerves and how to deal with them
What to do when things go wrong
The course is available for as either a half or full day.
